Vehicle Description
Very desirable Belair 2 door hardtop, no post. It's a rust free
car. Same owner 20 years. It is very dialed in. Show condition and
ready to drive anywhere.
EXTERIOR: Super clean, straight body. I'm looking on the sides of a
car and it does not have a ripple, bubble or damage. I am impressed
how well the doors fit, they're completely flush with the body. The
paint is really smooth and glossy. Virtually flawless paint, all I
could find were a couple small touch ups. Guess what! The paint is
18 years old and still looks virtually new. The chrome is all
beautiful. Upfront the bumper, grill, hood trim, hood ornament look
new. The stainless moldings down the side and around the windows
are straight. In back the tail lights, bumpers, emblems have been
replaced. Door jambs are painted nice, weather stripping has been
replaced. Windshield and gasket were replaced. Has a set of vintage
style Torque Thrust 15 inch wheels on BFG tires, little bit fatter
in the back.
INTERIOR: It practically looks new inside. Has a set of bucket
seats and in between them is a console and a 4-speed. The seats
have new cushions. Seats and door panels have all been
reupholstered to match. New carpet. The seats and console are from
an Impala SS, console is in excellent condition. The dash has been
painted a gloss black, the trim is replaced. A set of Cobalt gauges
were installed and a matching tachometer is on the console. Has an
upgraded stereo with kick panel speakers and speakers in the back
shelf. Has a really nice leather wrapped Grant steering wheel. The
overhead light works and white perforated headliner and visors are
very nice, no tears.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Very clean and proper. Nice painted finishes,
dressed up with aluminum and chrome. The motor is a built 350 bored
to a 355. Has Crane cam, reworked aluminum heads with bigger
stainless valves. Has aluminum and a dual feed Holley carb. Has
coated headers. Motor runs cool thanks to an aluminum radiator and
overflow bottle a d a fan shroud. Upgraded dual reservoir master
cylinder. New painless wiring and fuse block.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Very clean metal painted semi gloss black. It
does have a jack and a spare along with the rubber floor mat. The
battery has been relocated to the trunk in a battery box and has an
on-off switch. Weatherstrip is new.
UNDERSIDE: People tell me their car is rust free all the time. I
usually take it with a grain of salt especially on an old 55-57
Chevy. The owner was telling the truth in this case. I got the car
on the lift and was impressed. The floors, rockers, frame supports
are clean and look original, no patches. The underside is painted
semi gloss black. Upfront it has disc brakes, replaced 3,000 miles
ago. Front end is rebuilt, new shocks. Bottom of motor has finned
aluminum oil pan, new starter. The trans is an M-20 Muncie 4-speed
with Centerforce clutch. In back it has a 3.55 posi, new springs,
air shocks, Lakewood traction bars and a new fuel tank. Fat
exhaust, looks like Flowmaster mufflers. Emergency brake cables are
hooked up.
This is a good car, the owner was very sad to let it go. Finding a
rust free Bel Air hardtop is not easy. A built 350 with a 4-speed
and a 3.55 posi should be a fun ride. Ready for show and go. You
aren't buying someone's problems, your buying his baby!
