Vehicle Description
BMW's 2002 really kicked off a movement for the company that was
greatly needed as they wanted to offer a more powerful version of
the 1600 series in previous years. This mass produced and global
model provided significant revenue for the company and allowed to
pursue many other models and fine tune some of their other models.
The "Roundie" version is always sought out by any collector as the
unique real tail lights were only offered for a few years.
The 1973 BMW 2002 offered here is a highly original, very honest
example that has been repainted in its original color, Magala Red.
The car is powered by its 2.0 liter engine, automatic transmission
and rear wheel drive. Highlights included aluminum wheels,
stainless bumpers with bumperettes, original tan seat covers,
original trim, original grille, desirable "roundie" styling,
classic center exit exhaust, very nice dash, original steering
wheel, floor shift, original gauges, etc.
The car runs and drives very fine and represents a great entry
level European classic to venture into the collector car market.
These cars continue to rise in value and will make anyone a great
investment.
