This truck is among the finest 1955 1st series truck you will
ever find. Extremely well executed frame-off restoration with no
expense spared. In addition to the very fine restoration, this
truck is highly accessorized with very desirable options, such as
split bench seat with articulating driver's seat, NOS heater
system, clock, hat holder, just to name a few.
The paint is base/coat, clear/coat, and the products used was a
high quality brand. The paint as well as the rest of the truck has
no issues. The big 261 in-line 6, dual carburetor engine starts up
easily cold or hot, and the transmission shifts smoothly. There are
no squeaks or rattles in this truck either, it's a very quality
restoration.
All of the gauges, the lights and all of the accessories on this
truck work properly. It's truly one of the nicest trucks I've seen
and have the pleasure to have here in my shop.
The truck drives very nicely also, the acceleration is a little
stronger than a 235-6 would be, the brakes work great, and the
steering is easy thanks to power steering. The original steering
wheel was cut down to a smaller diameter which allows for a little
more room for the driver, and the articulating seat makes for an
extra comfortable drive in the event you hit a bump in the
road.
The chrome and bright work is excellent, and you'll notice the
additional front and rear fender adornment that likely came from a
Suburban, and gives this particular truck a more upscale
appearance...Which it deserves.
If you're considering a classic truck, and you've got your sights
on a '50's vintage style truck, and only the finest will work for
you...This just might be your truck!
