The Mercedes-Benz SL series started out as the top of the line
sports luxury tourer that offered both performance and comfort. The
third generation SL was called the R107 chassis and is one of the
most recognizable Mercedes of all time. Produced from 1971 all the
way to 1989, the R107 lived a long and cherished life. The United
States was an extremely popular market for the personal luxury
coupe and almost ? of all SL's were sold here. While not as quick
or pretty as their European cousins, the US market SL's still
represented the cream of the personal luxury car crop. The 380SL
was a mid range model that offered an excellent blend of both
efficiency and V8 performance.

consideration. Finished in Silver Blue Metallic, this car is in
excellent shape overall. The paint is very nice, with just a couple
small imperfections here and there. The body is very straight and
the chrome and rubber trim is excellent. The car has a very nice
soft top and a matching factory hard top. The exterior is bolstered
by later model 16in alloy wheels with Continental tires as well as
bumper mounted fog lights. The interior features blue leather
interior that is very clean. There is a little wear on the seats,
but everything is very nice and comfortable. The dash is crack free
and the wood trim is stunning. The factory instrumentation and
climate control is intact and the car features a newer Panasonic
radio.
Powered by a smooth 3.8L V8 and an automatic transmission, the
380SL is a classic Mercedes. It runs and drives very well and has
been very well cared for. The car comes with tons of service
records as well as the original owners manual, sales literature,
tool kit, original spare, first aid kit, and jack.
