Vehicle Description
Porsche developed the 914 as a replacement for its beloved 912, the
four cylinder version of the 911. The 914 was intended to be a mass
produced vehicle that would be built in conjunction with
Volkswagen. When unveiled at the Frankfurt Auto Show in 1969, it
was somewhat unexpected as it did not resemble a Porsche or a
Volkswagen. The car, however, with its mid-engine configuration,
demonstrated balance and handling capabilities that few have
achieved and packaged it into an affordable sports car that would
appeal to the masses.
GR Auto Gallery is pleased to offer this 1972 Porsche 914 for
consideration. The car is finished in Polo Red over Black interior.
Highlights included: Appearance group bumpers, removable roof, 1.7
liter engine, 5 speed manual transmission, wheel covers, wide body
conversion, embossed rocker panals, stainless steel trim, newer
seat upholstery, and door panels, carpet seems to bee original as
does the dash on steering wheel. The car runs and drives great and
possesses a very good core structure.
Porsche 914's are great cars to own. There point and shoot handling
capabilities along with sporty appearance keep these cars very
popular with all driving enthusiasts.
