Vehicle Description
The 1972 Chevrolet Monte Carlo was built to be Chevy's personal
luxury coupe. So it's great to find one that has been freshly
restored with the correct pieces so that it not only feels vintage,
but there's a smooth V8, A/C interior, and much motor to makes this
feel luxurious, too.
The Monte Carlo is a terrific classic American design, and this
example captures the era perfectly. The sheetmetal has crisp lines
combined with a flowing profile. And the long hood really lets this
style take its time to properly showcase all this Detroit metal.
But what really does the best job of showcasing all of this is a
serious investment in a quality respray of the correct Sequoia
Green paint. It gives you the classic look, but now a deep luster
that comes from a modern clearcoat finish. And the nicely
coordinated green vinyl roof is the perfect way to convey '70s
premium. Plus, you want a '72 like this because it's the end of an
era. The new bumper laws would take effect the next year, so this
was the final time these chrome kings would fit so nicely into the
overall design. This history is why these were restored to a
mirror-like shine. Completing this distinguished brightwork package
is complete trim, delectate badging, and iconic Rally wheels.
Just like the exterior, the interior is quite green and quite
nicely finished. There have been investments so the carpeting feels
fresh and the cloth seats are supple. And you'll just love how
there isn't a single button out of place on the seatbacks or
matching door panels. As a personal luxury car, all the right
controls are at your fingertips. The sea of green is broken up by
the walnut-like dash panel that features an upgraded AM/FM/cassette
stereo and cold-blowing factory air conditioning. And the factory
dual-spoke steering wheel on a tilt column gives you a clear view
at the sporty full gauge panel.
It almost looks like day one under the hood. The 350 cubic-inch V8
is the correct displacement for the coupe, and the block is
year-correct. It has been freshly painted so the classic Chevy
orange radiates from within the dark engine bay. The crisp hoses,
new hood insulation pad, correct decals, and all the other detail
work will make you proud to lift the hood at car shows. Of course,
a coupe like this was made for driving, too. The three-speed
automatic transmission, power steering, and power brakes w/discs up
front makes it easy to enjoy this hardtop anytime.
The sale comes with terrific documentation, including the factory
buildsheet, original warranty card, owner's manual, and service
manuals. So this is the Monte Carlo that has been given all the
right investments to continue on the premium feeling. So if you
demand true luxury from your vintage car experience, don't let this
one slip away. Call today!!!
