Vehicle Description
This superb 1936 MG Midget Supercharged Special is one of the very
best I ever seen. The chassis dated from 1935 and the running gear
is a supercharged MG XPAG engine. This combination results in a
potent combination which gave many drivers their first taste of
completion in England and the United States in the 40's and 50's.
Many drivers from America came to Europe having cut their teeth on
MG Special like this. This car would be eligible for just about
every racing and motoring experience including entree in all
Concours d'Elegance. During the 15 years that I have owned it, it
has participated at Meadow Brook, Greenwich, Lime Rock, and Radnor
Hunt Concour d'Elegances and many All-British-Events like the
Simeone Foundation Museum, the Hermitage, and the "Original British
Car day" at the New England MG-T Register, where it was given the
distinction of being awarded "Best MG on the field!
This year it was displayed at the New York International Auto
Show.
