Vehicle Description
1975 MG MGB Roadster (Dammerman Collection) #242
The MG is the classic English sports roadster, the car that
introduced Americans to sports cars after WWII. The B was the final
version of the MG line to experience wide acceptance in this
country.
This car is an excellent example of a late model version of the MGB
with a wonderful red paint job, black interior with bucket seats
and a matching black top. A rear luggage rack makes this MG ideal
for a weekend trip.
With a 1.8-liter straight 4 and 4-speed synchromesh gearbox this is
a peppy and responsive roadster meant to be driven with spirit. It
stops just as well with Girling front disc brakes.
By 1975 the MG B engine switched to using Stromberg carburetors to
help meet U.S. emission controls. The wheels are the standard
Rubery Owen's pressed steel units.
MG's are a popular and affordable collector car with parts and
upgrades readily available plus support from a number of clubs for
MGs and English sports cars
