luxury car" market with much deserved fanfare. It was immediately
named the Motor Trend Car of the Year and was nominated for North
American Car of the Year. The car's styling gives a nod to designs
of years past, and takes cues from the original Thunderbird. The
last generation Thunderbirds were available as a convertible only,
with the option of a removable hard top. A classic exhaust note can
be heard from the modern 3.9-liter DOHC 32-valve V8 as it propels
the Thunderbird from zero to 60 mph in 7 seconds flat, using 252
stock horsepower.
