Vehicle Description
This is one bad looking, tough sounding, pavement pounder. Truly
street or strip ready. 650 hp with BFG radials will take you to the
outdoor theater or cruise night. Change the blower gear that is
included to bring it to,1,000 hp, put the slicks on that are
included and it will pull a wheelie at the strip! It has had the
same owner for the last 23 years. He has been actively enjoying and
maintaining the car.
EXTERIOR: You have to admit this is one tough looking Vette! When a
picture was emailed to me I knew I wanted it. That big polished
motor sticking out through the hood is awesome. It has a great
stance and a meaty set of tires in back. Menacing black is the
appropriate color on this one. Body is in really excellent shape,
does not have the usual stress cracks or damage. 25+ year old paint
is glossy and polished like a mirror. Has 1 area size of a hand
with pimples, it been that way unchanged. The chrome and trim on
this car shines like new, 8 out of 10. Windshield and gasket were
replaced. Polished door jambs with new weather strips and polished
sill plates. Very tasteful and functional 6 pt roll bar by Alston
Racing. It was chrome plated and has removable door bars. The
hardtop is restored and fits fine over the roll bar. In back there
are a few nice custom touches- exhaust is routed out through the
valance and reverse lights were put in place of the inner
taillights. Has Centerline wheels with Mickey Thompson tires in
front. In back it has BFG drag radials and also includes M/T 10x15
slicks.
INTERIOR: Excellent condition. Has all new cushions, upholstery,
door panels, dash pad and carpet from Corvette Central. Has
Corvette floor mats. A nice set of Comp gauges were neatly
installed in the factory locations, there is a Monster tach mounted
below the dash. Beautiful Corvette style steering wheel with a
polished wood rim. There are also Simpson racing belts, Hurst
ratchet shift with a walnut knob.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: Has a fresh 355 motor with 650 hp, it can be
raised to 1,000 horsepower by changing a gear on the blower. Both
gears are included. It has an Eagle rotating assembly, solid roller
Comp Cam, Brodix Track 1 heads, Blower Shop intake manifold, Blower
Drive 671 supercharger with dual Demon 650 carbs. It also has MSD
Billet distributor, Taylor 10.4 plug wires, Hooker headers. A
Moroso 6 quart oil pan, DeWitt custom radiator, electric fan,
Stewart stage 2 water pump and polished expansion tank keep the car
running cool. Also has Powermaster new alternator and mini
high-torque starter. The motor is fully decorated with polished
parts.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: It has been cleaned and given a nice coat of
aqua spatter paint. Includes car cover.
UNDERSIDE: The frame is smooth clean metal, fiberglass floors are
not damaged. The owner worked for Heidts suspension. Upfront is
rebuilt stock, in back there are significant upgrades. Has tubular
rear suspension including ladder bars, has adjustable coil over gas
shocks and a Currie Ford 9 inch rear with 4.10 gears and 35 spline
axles. The trans is a TCI turbo 400 modified by Mid-West. Has
street fight converter and reverse manual valve body and a trans
brake. Has an overkill remote trans cooler with electric fan.
Custom driveshaft. Fat 3 inch, very nicely bent exhaust all the way
out the back.
This car has such a cool factor. It is exciting, isn't that what
owning a collector car is all about. You don't see too many vintage
Vettes like this. Its fast, even if you aren't the type to go do
wheelies down the 1/4 mile, it is still an adrenaline pumper to
fire it up and cruise into the local car show or ice cream
shop!
