European Motor Studio is very excited to offer this incredibly rare find, a 1987 Ferrari 412 5-speed Coupe finished in an elegant combination of Prugna Metallic over Crema/Brown. This beautiful 412 has spent its life in Southern CA with a long term collector with history and records dating back to the 90’s. Accompanied with the service history is a recent CA smog/emissions certificate. The Prugna Metallic paint shows remarkably well with minor stone chips to the front nose and lower skirt. The paint shows a beautiful depth and luster to it with excellent trim and body fitment. There are no signs of any prior damage to the body and there are no signs of rust anywhere. All of the stainless is in excellent condition as well as what appears to be all of its original glass. The original rims are in excellent condition showing minor chips in the front two. The interior is in exceptional condition, the original leather shows remarkably well for its age with minor creasing in the front seats. The leather still has a very soft feel and a great smell. The carpets are excellent with showing just minor age with the exception of the driver side back seat carpet where it looks like the carpet is frayed where it meets the driver seat track (pictured). The beautiful leather headliner is in excellent condition free from any shrinkage, sagging or stains and the leather dash top and center console is in excellent condition free from any shrinkage (the gauge cluster binnacle where it meets the dash has some shrinkage to the corner, pictured). At the heart of this 412 is the legendary Ferrari four cam 4.9 liter 12 cylinder engine matted to a 5 speed gearbox. With only 276 manual gearbox 412’s produce, this example draped in Prugna Metallic is probably 1 of 1 or 2 in this configuration. The V12 engine sings to life with a remarkable soundtrack thanks to a new exhaust and a recent major engine service. The power is exceptional with smooth running through all gears and no signs of slippage through the clutch or signs of worn synchro’s. There is no some on start up or acceleration and all 12 cylinders have excellent strong compression. The engine is also very dry with no signs of leaks anywhere. Recently a full engine and fluid service has been done including plugs and wires, rotor and caps, new fuel pumps, completely rebuilt fuel distributors and warm up regulators, new cats and air hoses and new fuel pressure accumulators. The AC belts, clutch assembly and recharge was also performed. All of the electronics are operating as they should including the windows, seats, mirrors, AC is ice cold, all gauges, all lights, headlights are all operating, power antenna and door locks. The rear suspension is in excellent working order with a smooth ride. The rear hydraulics pic the car up in a timely manner and show no signs of leaking. This is an excellent opportunity to acquire what some consider to be the last of the true front engine V12 Ferrari’s under the Enzo name. Accompanying this 412 are receipts of work performed dating back to the 90’s, the original spare tire, the tool kit, Ferrari keys and the original owners handbook.
