We drove this corvette over 2 hours home. It is a strong running corvette.
Lots of upgrades were done by the last owners- 350 engine rebuilt with 9.4 compression ratio, Engine Pro .480/.480 cam, Edelbrock RPM 70CC 2.02 aluminum heads with roller rockers, push rod guide plates and screw in studs, Holley aluminum intake and carburetor, Eagle crankshaft, Eagle rods, SRP flat top pistons, HEI tach drive distributor, and much more. They also redid the suspension with upper and lower control arm bushings, upper and lower ball joints, sway bar links, shocks, trailing arm bushings, rear leaf spring, leaf spring bushings, adjustable strut rods, tongue bushing, rebuilt 3.70 rear end, hooker header side pipes, and much more.
We changed the oil and filter, transmission grease, rear end grease and additive, and checked and lubed the chassis. We also replaced the spark plugs, rebuilt the Holley carburetor, right front brake caliper, and much more.
Original color was Monza Red. 1969 was the second year for the C3 generation corvette. It was the last year for no fender flares, the 3 speed transmission option, and the L71 427/435hp, L88 427/430Hp, and L68 427/400Hp engine options. This was the first year that the T-top corvette out-sold the convertible with 22,129 T-tops being built and only 16,633 convertibles being built.
