Up for sale we have a gorgeous 1970 Chevy Chevelle SS. This car has
had a complete Frame Off Restoration that features a period correct
restoration. From the Red Oxide detailed floors to the 512 Casted
LS6 Built Big Block Engine this makes for one of the nicest '70
Chevelle's on the market. In the paragraphs to follow we will give
a brief description of the exterior, interior, and heartbeat of
this Chevrolet, but first we would like to tell you a little about
us.
Smoky Mountain Traders is a classic car dealer in east Tennessee.
We are family owned, operated, and own our entire inventory, no
consignments, and only deal in muscle cars and vintage auto. You
can count on us to have 70 to 80 cars at all times. We don't have a
big show room that our customers would otherwise pay for. So,
that's how we can sell for less than other dealers. To contact us
for more information, pictures, or any questions call our office at
(865)988-8088 or visit our SmokyMountainTraders website.
We will start off with the exterior of this '70. Easily one of the
most iconic muscle cars ever built, the '70 Chevelle SS offered a 1
year only body style and can be picked out in a crowd by the dual
headlights and the in bumper tail lights. Another iconic option
that this car features is the Cowl Induction Hood that is working.
When the restoration was done they painted the car in the Tuxedo
Black Paint that's accented by the White Stripes. It's done in the
base coat clear coat that has been buffed and polished to a deep
rich shine that's slick as a ribbon. All the chrome and stainless
appears to have been replaced at the time of the restoration and is
in excellent condition. The glass is also in great condition and
the side windows are operating as they should. To finish off the
look it's sitting on a set of 15" SS Wheels with Firestone Wide
Oval Tires.
Next, we will look at the interior of this Chevelle. On the inside
it's done Classic Black that flows perfectly with the exterior
color combination. It features Bucket Seats and Console with the
Four Speed Shifter. Looking at the dash you can see that it does
have the Super Sport Gauges. You'll also notice that it has been
updated with Vintage AC that works off the controls in the factory
location. It also has been updated with a digital knobbed unit with
new speakers installed under the dash pad which was replaced as
well. Looking at the door panels, headliner, and carpet you can see
that they all appear to have been replaced and that the dome light
is working. In the trunk everything looks to be rock solid and is
detailed with the splatter paint and it does have the spare with
jack.
Finally we will get to the heartbeat of this Chevrolet. Under the
hood it's powered by a '70 Model 3963512 Casted Four Bolt Main LS6
block that has been freshly built and does have the LS6 heads.
You'll also notice it's setup with a GM Intake and the Holley 850
Double Pump Carburetor. The 454 is mated to the Borg Warner Super
T10 Four Speed Transmission and the 12 Bolt Rear End. For exhaust
it has Headers with Dual Pipes and Flow Master Mufflers. As we
noticed earlier it has the Vintage AC, but it also comes with Power
Steering and Power Brakes with Disc on the Front. To keep it cool
it has the Four Core Radiator and Clutch Fan. When you look under
this '70 it's setup with the front and rear sway bars. And as you
can see it has been frame off restored with the pans detailed in
the red oxide primer and the frame done in black. You'll also
notice the gas tank and fuel lines were replaced along with the
Brake Lines.
