Vehicle Description
1964 GMC Custom Stepside Pickup. DGT031A. VIN. # 1001HF3031A. Good
looking truck. I like the color. The man I bought it from painted
it himself. It looks good but when you get close you find
imperfections. Both front and rear chrome bumpers look new. Has a
good wood bed that could have been finished better. The metal part
at the front of the bed could have been painted better. He
installed a new gas tank under the back of the bed. Looks to be the
original 230 6 cylinder engine. 3 speed transmission on the column.
Runs great. He had a new split manifold dual exhaust installed and
it sounds great. Like new BF Goodrich TA Radial tires on American
Racing Mag wheels. He found some rust in both front fenders and
instead of patching them he bought new fenders. Andrew found some
rust in a right rear body support. We bought this PU about 30 miles
away and Andrew drove it home, mostly all freeway and it drives
great. Speed was showing 65 but was doing 60 so the speedo is fast.
Has new volt and oil pressure gauges under the dash. Has an AM/FM
radio with kick panel speakers. Rear tail lights are LED. He had
the seat all rebuilt. Speedo 83,937 miles. Joe at Old School Garage
did the service and safety check. We knew that Joe would have to
install a new water pump, It was leaking a little. I went up to
Drager's Club House and drove it home so I could get an early start
but by the time I got home water was poring out. So no way was I
going to be able to drive it to Joe. So I installed a new water
pump. So you know it's not a show truck but you will get lots of
thumbs up everywhere you go. Cond. # 3 +.
