Vehicle Description
A 1970 Chevrolet Corvette LS5 454 with the numbers-matching big
block, terrific color combo, and A/C interior is an absolutely
beautiful thing. So if you want power, comfort, and distinction,
read on...
Code 976 Mulsanne Blue is named after the straightaway at the 24
Hours of LeMans where some of the highest speeds are achieved. So
it just seems appropriate to have this factory-correct hue on a
true big block Corvette, right? But this coupe is much more than a
bold blue with a cool history. This is a great year for the
Stingray with more bright work in front end, rockers, Rally wheels,
and even the windshield surrounds than later C3s. Plus, you can
tell this one was treated with care in the way the headlights rest
flush and the doors close with authority. So there's nothing
getting in the way of enjoying the athletic profile that includes
the shark-like nose, big block hood, flared fenders, and
well-integrated spoiler.
Recently recovered seats and a crisp dash give the interior a nice
look. We love the way the deep black looks against the exterior
blue. As the driver, you get a three-spoke steering wheel that just
calling out for your hands. Ahead of that is the large dual pod
gauges for the speedo and tach, and just to the side are a full set
of auxiliary readouts. This one is loaded with the best features,
including power windows, leather seats, and an AM/FM/cassette
stereo. But your favorite features will be the ones that allow you
to share this Corvette with the world. You can take off the T-tops
and even remove the rear window to get the wind blowing through the
car like a convertible. And on those hot summer days, there's
modern R134a air conditioning to keep it all feeling cool.
It's properly dressed under the hood with the bold block, shining
valve covers, and matching air topper radiating from within the
dark engine bay. But more than just look great, you want this
because it's the mighty 454 cubic-inch LS5 V8. You'll love to know
that this is the car's original numbers-matching engine, and it
even has a proper Rochester four-barrel carburetor on top. The
TH400 three-speed automatic transmission is stout enough to handle
all this power, and power steering makes driving easy. Plus, you
get superior handling with four-wheel disc brakes and a fully
independent sports suspension.
This is the Corvette with the right look, the right features, and
the right original motor. So if you like it powerful and premium,
this is the right one for you. Call now!
