For Sale: 1964 Chevrolet El Camino in Volo, Illinois

Vehicle Description

EXTERIOR: This is the brightest red I've ever seen. I need to find out the name of it and order it by the 55 gallon drum! The paint is very slick, laid out and polished to a very smooth, high gloss finish. Actually the body's remarkably straight and fits remarkably well. California built and has been living in Missouri. Bottom of the fenders and doors are really clean. I don't see any bubbles or issues. In front tge bumper is rechromed, grill is very nice original. New emblems on the fenders. New mirrors and door handles. Chrome and stainless bed trim is very nice. In back the bumper is rechromed. Bottom of the tailgate is real clean, the jamb is painted a nice gloss red, hinges are chromed. Tailgate functions perfectly, clicks shut. The door jambs are also painted a smooth glassy red. New weatherstrips, window seals and rubber around the vent windows. The windshield has been replaced, glass has been tinted. Has a set of 15 inch rally wheels. Inside the bed is really clean- no dents, damage or rust. It's painted with a red and gray spatter type finish.

INTERIOR: Has some nice features- factory in dash gauge cluster and tachometer. Has optional padded dash. It has an air conditioner that will drop ice cubes on your lap. Right next to that is a 4-speed shifter. Rare to find a 4-speed and air combination. The upholstery, carpets, headliner have been replaced. It has real good door panels, steering wheel, instrument panel. Behind the seat is a cleverly installed stereo system with 6x9 speakers and CD changer.

MOTOR COMPARTMENT: Cleaned and painted up very nicely. The metal has a nice smooth satin black finish, jambs are painted gloss red. The motor has a fresh coat of Chevy orange paint. The correct 327 motor was rebuilt and upgraded with Holley aluminum intake and Edelbrock carb with electric choke. New air conditioning system with R134a freon.

UNDERSIDE: It is solid, clean and proper underneath. Solid floors and rockers with a coat of satin black. Recent replaced parts include dual exhaust with glass pack mufflers, shocks, starter. Rear control arms were boxed, has chrome rear end cover. Emergency brake cables are complete. Has Muncie 4-speed trans. Motor and trans look clean.
