Vehicle Description
1948 Chevrolet Fleetmaster
car is the quintessential street-rod. With a custom interior and
modern options this beauty is ready to cruise.
Why This Car Is Special
This 48 Chevy has an older restoration but is still ready to cruise
and show. It is priced to move and can be driven and enjoyed while
you make it your own and fix it up, if you desire.
Mechanical
A 350 CID V8 is dressed up with chrome valve covers, chrome air
cleaner, chrome alternator and dipstick. The HEI distributor
handles the spark and dual exhaust routes the fume out chrome tips
exiting the rear. The firewall is polished, as is the radiator
overflow for a show quality look. A Turbo 350 automatic
transmission shifts on the column and a 10-bolt rear end sits out
back.
Interior
Upholstered in a red and gray cloth, the interior is custom but not
over the top. AutoMeter gauges and clock look vintage but are more
accurate and dependable than original gauges. A Pioneer radio sends
your favorite songs through speakers in the kick panels and rear
panels. A chrome steering column with billet wheel and tilt option
is a nice upgrade. The trunk has been carpeted in gray to match. An
A/C system has been installed to keep you cool during those summer
show season.
Exterior
A deep red metallic paint glistens in the sunlight and is accented
by Cragar wheels. BF Goodrich Radial TA tires wrap those wheels and
are in great shape. Dual chrome exhaust tips exit the rear, right
below the chrome bumper. These cars have just enough chrome and
trim to look rich, but not spend your days polishing. The side
mirrors have been upgraded with modern sport mirrors that fit the
curves of the car nicely.
Conclusion
This street rod is a great entry level classic with good looks, a
nice and clean interior, and a reliable 350/350 engine and
transmission combination. It is priced to move and won't last
long.
