1964 DODGE A100 PICK UP Dodge's first compact trucks - the A100
"Forward Control" line - were brought out in mid-1964. For all of
model-year 1964, the company made 11,046 A-vans, wagons, and
pickups. In 1964, the pickup cost under $2,000 and weighed around
2,770 pounds. They had drum front and rear brakes, self-adjusting
brakes (with dual hydraulic channels); a 53 amp-hour battery; a
standard dome light, coat hook, and painted front bumper; standard
turn signals and backup lights; variable-speed electric wipers;
dual padded sun visors and a padded dashboard; and standard bucket
seats with seat belts. This spectacular A100 is substantially
upgraded with a 5.7L HEMI engine and automatic transmission. The
straight exterior is finished in a classic combination of green and
white that accentuates the body styling. The rear features a rolled
pan. The pick up bed is finished in oak wood and polished steel
strips. The comfortable interior features door panels and bucket
seats in black and white houndstooth fabric. The aluminum insert
dash displays an array of Auto Meter gauges. A Grant GT wood
steering wheel tops the column. GF Goodrich wide white wall tires
