Stored for 27 years! The woman that bought the car parked it in
1976. 2nd owner bought it and pulled it out of hibernation in 2013.
He went on to service and restore the car to it's current
condition.
EXTERIOR: Only repainted 1 time, exterior only. The jambs are still
original, complete with old oil change stickers. Has original
dealer's label on the back, it was carefully painted around. Body
is excellent with no damage or rust. Bumpers, mirror, taillights,
handles have bright chrome. This car does have the optional Sprint
hood with the louvers and built in turn signals. The owner did
recently add GT wheels to dress it up and a brand new set of
tires.
INTERIOR: Mostly in very good original condition. The front seats
have been reupholstered, door panels and armrests have been
replaced. Has the original carpet, headliner and rear seat. The
dash pad is very good. Has Pony floormats. New instrument bezels
with bright chrome trim. The radio is a conversion, it looks stock
but actually has modern guts. It is Bluetooth and FM stereo with
speakers. New air conditioning system, the owner says it will drop
ice cubes on your lap.
MOTOR COMPARTMENT: Very clean and proper. The 289 motor is painted
Ford blue. Has correct manifolds and air cleaner complete with heat
riser tube. Rebuilt carb, new fuel pump. Upgraded steel timing
gear. Upgraded aluminum radiator keeps the motor cool. The air
conditioning system is entirely new. Has washer bottle, Autolite
battery topper, underside hood light- Has power steering and
brakes.
UNDERSIDE: Completely rock solid, original floors and frame rails.
Brakes were redone, gas tank, leaf springs and shocks replaced.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Clean original. Has mat, tire cover, jack and
spare.
Good, honest Mustang with the winning combination- V-8, automatic,
air conditioning, power steering and brakes!
