Vehicle Description
A faithful 1964 Pontiac GTO tribute that offers a larger V8 than
the original and offered at a fraction of the price. So look over
all the details, but you already know this is a terrific value for
the money.
Nocturne Blue is a great factory-correct color to have on a coupe
like this. After all, it has a deep appearance like a sinister
black - which is exactly how you want a high-performance Pontiac to
look. But when the sunlight hits it, you really see a more
sophisticated tone of the blue that makes people take notice. With
a nice update to clear coat paint, there's an extra hint of gloss
the factory just never could offer. It's this performance with a
touch of class you see everywhere on this car. It's in the bright
chrome bumpers, crisp body lines, and the artful full-width tail
panel. Plus, it's also a faithful GTO tribute with the hood scoops,
all the correct badging, and a nice upgrade to sporty 15-inch
American Racing Torq Thrust wheels.
Inside the sea of blue continues. Bucket seats, a floor shifter,
sports steering wheel, and the machine-turned dash panels really
give this one a great performance atmosphere. So it proudly feels
like the Pontiac that fathered the muscle car. And this one is
really set up to enjoy on the road. For example, the radio is an
AM/FM unit with an input for your modern music player, but it keeps
it vintage appearance so that this feels like a true classic.
Under the hood this Pontiac is stuffed with 455 cubic-inches of V8
power. GTO fans couldn't get this kind of displacement in the '60s,
but this tribute loads up on muscle. The light blue block looks
nice against the gloss black engine bay, and so do the polished
valve covers and air topper. Plus, this big V8 has been further
upgraded for performance with an Edelbrock aluminum intake and a
four-barrel carburetor. This makes a terrific rumble from the dual
exhaust, but the big power package is not the car's whole story. It
has comfortable features like power steering and a three-speed
automatic transmission. It runs so well that the consignor drove it
two hours to our location. So it's the kind of classic you can
really enjoy.
Complete with Pontiac Historic Services (PHS) documentation, this
is the powerful GTO tribute offered for a terrific price. So if
you're a fan of muscle car values, don't let this one slip away.
