Vehicle Description
NEW addition to our showroom, the 1955 Chevrolet Sedan Delivery.
This Tri Five Era sedan delivery has gone through 2 restorations
with many added features and component replacements; radiator,
starter, alternator, water and fuel pumps, as well as gas tank and
sending unit. Plus new gauges, front disc brakes, master cylinder,
front suspension and exhaust system. The interior is nicely done in
black vinyl bucket seats with floor shifter and a rear bench seat,
all with new carpet. This Sedan Delivery is ultra special in that
it is 1 of 40+ cars with rear foot wells built in the frame but was
switched to the delivery style on the production line. This Chevy
served the first part of it's life as a service truck for Sears. By
the mid-80s the engine was replaced with a '67 Camaro donor during
it's first restoration and found it's next journey as a promotional
vehicle for ACME Mascots. The 283 V8 engine in this sedan delivery
makes for a great road car with 25 MPG on highways, 18 MGP in town.
By 2000, the Chevy Sedan Delivery was in it's second restoration
with numerous upgrades and add-ons, such as power windows, power
door locks and new LED tail lights. The exterior and interior
enhancements make this vehicle a crowd pleaser. Complete
