Up for sale is the modern classic interpretation of a muscle car
legend; the limited edition, 2012 Mustang Boss 302 Laguna Seca.
This car was purchased several years ago for investment purposes.
Driven sparingly and stored in a climate controlled garage, it is
offered now to make room for a change in direction by the current
collector.
All Boss 302's are built around the factory prepared 5.0 engine,
internally referred to as the Road Runner. Incorporating forged
rotating assemblies, revised cam profiles, ported heads and
exclusive intake runners borrowed from the 302R racecar. A Boss 302
specific exhaust system with cutouts adds the finishing touches to
produce 450hp that is delivered through a slick shifting 6-speed
grearbox.
The Laguna Seca edition upped the ante with additional suspension
settings and a Torsen limited slip 3.73 rear end. All 750 of the
Laguna Seca models produced featured Recaro harness ready seats, a
racy alcantara steering wheel and rear seat delete with x-braces
for added rigidity.
This Boss 302 includes the front spoiler extensions, braces and the
rear diffuser, all still in their Ford Racing boxes. With only 3800
miles, this Boss has seen no track time and is as you would expect
in like new condition. Despite its serious capabilities, this car
is surprisingly streetable, even docile when exercising restraint.
But good luck with that. The sound and fury this car produces is
intoxicating. Rowing through the gears at even 7/10ths makes you
feel like Mark Donohue.
