Beautiful 1967 Ford Mustang Fastback! Original "S" Code car now packing a powerful 428 FE roller motor performs great on both the street and strip. Rarely do you get the power and the beauty in one package but this car has it all.
POWERPLANT
As mentioned this car was an original big block car. It now has a 428FE built motor with hydraulic lifters, Harland Sharp roller rockers, new push rods, billet rocker pedastals, and a Holley 750 cfm carburetor. This car is also equipped with a two-stage nitrous set-up, fuel cooler, brand new dual automatic electric fans, oversized 3 row aluminum radiator, new electric fuel pump, and all electronic ignition system. Under the Shelby style fiberglass style hood there is an 8-point adjustable reinforcement system to stabilize anything you throw at this beast. Engine rating is over 500 horsepower with an estimated 300 horsepower double shot nitrous boost. The drivetrain is rounded out with a custom built C6 transmission and a professionally mini tubbed Ford 9 inch rear end. It has a 411 gear limited slip. ( not sure but does not feel like a Detroit locker). Unfortunately all of the original engine build specs were lost before previous owner. I was unable to track down the owner that had that work done. The shifter is becoming tempormental and sometimes tricky to get into park. No problems while driving. I'm including an identical replacement with the sale. If I find time I will install it. The timing is well advanced and can make for harder starting, up to you.
PAINT & BODY
This Mustang has a beautiful base/clear paint job that shows well. There are some signs of cracking in the fiberglass hood and decklid but does not take away from the overall appearance. Some bubbling of paint in lower quarters. The gold Shelby stripes AND the gold rocker GT500 stripes are painted on under the clear coat. This car is very straight with only some minor chips. it is completely rust-free. Steals the eyes at every car show. Car has the Shelby upper and lower side scoops. The rear of the car has a full Shelby appearance including fiberglass decklid, fiberglass end caps, Shelby tail lights complete with sequential turn signals, GT500 gas cap and exhaust tips routed through the lower valance which is super cool! No room for golf clubs in this trunk as the car has a fuel cell, nitrous tank, trunk mounted, boxed battery and trunk-mounted electric fuel pump. The front of the car has a billet grille and has a lower fiberglass chin spoiler. The fiberglass hood has $600 billet hinges. hood pins. The fiberglass hood and decklid do not have perfect alignment as most fiberglass panels. The car also has all of the Shelby badging. LED headlight system was added. All exterior chrome is new or in like-new condition. The glass was professionally tinted which makes it look sinister.
INTERIOR
A lot going on in the interior of this car. Color is black and deluxe interior treatment was added. New complete Scott Drake deluxe door panels and stainless inserts. New deluxe dash panels and instrument bezel. Lower door grilles. All aftermarket gauges fitted into deluxe stainless bezel. Seats have the deluxe Shelby style fiberglass seat backs and lower seat shields. All stainless trim is in great shape and original. The back seat fiberglass panels are all vinyl wrapped giving this car a very unique look. A couple tears from the folddown seat being moved but they are taped up and hard to see.The fold down rear seat functions as it should and looks great. This Mustang is equipped with a rollbar with attached two 5 point racing seat belts or you can wear just the lap belt. The headliner and dashpad are in great condition. This car does have a modified '67 center console to allow for the racing-style shifter. Newer Shelby floor mats were added. There is no radio but the kick panels have nice speakers in them. The fuel gauge and the wipers do not work.
BRAKES & SUSPENSION
The brakes are 4 wheel disc and some type of racing set up which I am not familiar with. They take a little extra pressure but feel heavy duty. A valve under the car can be adjusted to shift braking power to the front brakes or to the back. Many suspension mods have been done to this car to make it tight and responsive. The mini-tub allows for a lot of rubber on the road! Adjustable shocks. A 4-link rear suspension helps balance the car in acceleration. The 3" exhaust sounds fantastic. This is a vocal car.
WHEELS AND TIRES
YOKOHAMA 245/45 ZR 17 FRONT and KUMHO 285/40 R17 REAR. Tires are in excellent condition. Rims were custom built for this car and are also in top condition. Spiinners on front wheels and standard center caps on rear.

This Mustang is not for the novice as it packs a lot of power and requires 2 hands on the wheel. That being said, it is a stunning head turner with the Shelby mods and the Hertz-style paint scheme. There is a ton of money in this car and couldn't be reproduced for what this car will sell for. Clear Ohio title
