Vehicle Description
Many hours were spent completing the restoration on this 1959 F-100
pickup to get it back to original specifications. The solid custom
cab was painted back to the original colors of red and white, the
gas tank was cleaned and resealed, new fuel lines and fuel pump
were installed, and the carburetor was rebuilt. This pickup is
powered by a 223ci 6-cylinder engine mated to a 3-on-the-tree
manual transmission and has a new clutch master cylinder, slave
cylinder, throw-out bearing, pressure plate, clutch disc and
resurfaced flywheel. Also added during the restoration was a new
brake master cylinder, wheel cylinders and brake lines where
required. The windshield and windshield gasket were replaced and
new vent window rubbers, window channels, cat whiskers and door
gaskets were also installed. The vacuum wipers were replaced with
electric and turn signals were installed. The interior features lap
belts, all-new dash knobs, new rubber floor mat and seat cover. It
now rides on Coker wide white tires and has a new exhaust system.
The grille, headlight surrounds, and front and rear bumpers have
been beautifully rechromed.
