Vehicle Description
1997 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 Coupe
The Chevrolet Camaro, manufactured by Chevrolet, was hardly a new
idea; more like a hurried attempt to keep up with the recently
launched/remarkably successful Ford Mustang. It started as a pony
car, but Chevrolet later introduced muscle car versions in the
market. Launched on September 29, 1966, the Camaro comes in five
distinct generations, with the last one being introduced on March
16, 2009.
This pristine example of a fourth generation Camaro has only 13,732
miles clocked! A "T" top model, beautiful black exterior and tan
interior combination, and a hefty 8-cylinder LT1 Chevrolet engine,
combine to make beautiful speed.
Exterior
Chevrolet Black covers the exterior and is in very good condition
and is devoid of defects, and any scratches. Other than a hood
badge and a red bow tie on the grille, all badging is black, and a
bit 3D to have it stand out from the rest of the body. The smoked
"T" top is in showroom condition and works perfectly. A large glass
hatchback is seen and opens to a cargo area that has two tiers. The
upper tier folds back to give full privacy to the cargo area below.
Base 5-spoke wheels are on all 4 corners.
Interior
Very nice tan leather buckets, as well as a 2+2 leather covered
back seat, and door panels present in very good condition. Tan
carpeting is free of soiling and fading. A curvaceous center
console in black combines with an equally undulating black dash and
gives very nice contrast to the seating. All gauges are in full
working order, as well as a digital mileage and trip display. A
black leather wrapped steering wheel, and a black automatic shifter
are finishing off the compartment. As noted the back cargo
compartment can be covered or uncovered, and offers spacious area
for storage. Also noted is a 6-disc CD changer in the cargo
compartment.
Drivetrain
A 350ci LT1 fuel injected V8 rated at 285HP, is backed by a 4L60E 4
Speed Automatic transmission. 4-wheel power disc brakes are
present, and McPherson Strut front suspension and coil sprung rear
suspension can be viewed underneath, which is very clean. Original
factory grease pencils markings can be seen on the underside of the
frame, and absolutely no rust is present on underbody.
A 1997 time capsule car, with only 13,732 miles, looks and drives
like a car directly out of the showroom. For the Camaro aficionado,
an excellent example of this 4th generation iteration of the
