Whether on the road or on the track, every single element of the
Ford GT was designed to deliver the extraordinary speed and
exceptional handling found only in purpose-built racing cars. The
GT recalls Ford's historically significant GT40, consecutive
four-time winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans (1966-1969), including
a 1-2-3 finish in 1966. Reborn in 2005, the American mid-engine
two-seater sports car was manufactured by Ford for a limited
production span, culminating in 2006. A scant 1,919 Ford GTs' were
produced in 2006 making this one very desirable American supercar.
The Ford GT features many technologies unique at its time including
superplastic-formed frame, aluminum body panels, roll-bonded floor
panels, a friction stir-welded center tunnel, covered by a
magnesium center console, capless fuel filler system, one-piece
door panels and a dry-sump oiling system that is employed to allow
the engine to sit low in the car's frame. The 5.4-liter V8 block
was specifically designed for the car and is constructed of
all-aluminum alloy featuring a forged rotating assembly and
engine-specific performance camshafts. Topped with an Eaton
screw-type supercharger the power output is rated at 550
horsepower. With its sleek aero-dynamic body work, light-weight
chassis and powerful engine the Ford GT is capable of a top speed
of more than 200 miles per hour and the quarter mile blurs by in
11.8 seconds. All this thrust is brought to a safe stop courtesy of
the Brembo four-piston calipers with cross-drilled and vented
rotors at all four corners. This exquisite example has accumulated
only 870 miles since 2006 and is in like-new, showroom condition.
Finished in Mark II Black Clearcoat with its Ebony leather interior
the coupe was delivered from the factory as stripe delete GT. When
the Ford GT was first announced, the demand outpaced supply with
many cars being sold for a premium over the suggested retail price
of $140K. Over a decade later not much has changed as the Ford GT
continues to be a highly sought after collectible car. These
American supercars change hands rarely, so don't miss your chance
to acquire this exceptional Ford GT. Stock Number: HC7592 VIN:
