Vehicle Description
Completely Restored 1962 Chevrolet Corvair Monza Convertible
finished in crisp White with a new Red Interior. Powered by a
6-Cylinder engine and backed by a 4-speed manual transmission.
After seeing how popular foreign compact cars had become in Europe,
Chevy took its shot at the rear-engined compact car market and came
out with the Corvair. The styling is clean and attractive and the
interior is roomy due to the lack of driveshaft hump and
transmission tunnel normally needed in a front-engine car. Chevy
also used the Corvair to pioneer the exhaust-gas turbocharging
feature that pushes more air into the cylinders of a car through a
turbine that the exhaust blows on to.The Corvair was the only
American designed and mass-produced passenger vehicle to use a
rear-mounted air-cooled engine. This piece of history features
chrome accents, bucket seats, Konig wheels, AM radio, heater, new
door panels and carpet, new upholstery, new tires, and a new top
and top pads. It has undergone a comprehensive restoration to get
the car looking and driving like-new again. For more information on
