is extremely clean inside and out. A investment you can drive and
enjoy while appreciating in value! The fourth generation
Chevrolet C1500 pickup trucks were produced from 1987 through 1998.
These models were built using a new platform, called the GMT 400
and were offered with eight different cab and bed configurations.
The new fourth generation pickups were the first GM trucks to
feature an extended cab model and also featured independent front
suspension, which had not been previously used on GM pickups. A
variety of engine and transmission options were available and the
trucks were offered as either two or four wheel drive models. This
well maintained and exceptionally sharp 1991 Chevrolet, C1500,
350SS pickup was sold new on June 6, 1991 by ELCO Chevrolet in St.
Louis, Missouri. The sporty pickup truck has had only three owners
from new. The mileage indicated is just over 113,000. Unlike most
pickup trucks that have been well used and worked hard, this
example has always been well cared for. The three owners have all
been car collectors that have treated it with the same respect they
give their vintage vehicles. The second owner was the noted hot rod
builder Jack Stirneman. It has always resided in St. Louis and
always been stored indoors. This vehicle is being sold with a clean
and current CarFax report that clearly states it has not been
subjected to any accident damage or body repairs. This 1991
Chevrolet 350SS truck retains its original window sticker, which
indicates that it is a true SS model and lists the factory SS
options. This truck has the desirable short cab and short bed which
gives it a sporty and aggressive look. The black front grill, SS
badging and full length black lower body band gives this truck an
air of distinction not seen in the more common, non-SS variations.
The body, fenders, hood and bed are extremely straight and solid.
There is no evidence of any rust or damage repair. This truck is
finished in what is believed to be its original Flame Red exterior
paint. The paint shows extremely well and exhibits only the
expected signs of wear that one would expect from being 27 years
old. On the inside, the factory supplied, split bench seat is in a
matching garnet color with the exact Chevrolet upholstery material
and pattern. The seat has one small burn hole and some minor
imperfections but is generally clean and presentable. The matching
door panels, carpets and headliner are very clean and tidy. The
dashboard is in very good condition and the gauges are clean and
clear. With the exception of the trip odometer, all of the gauges
and controls are in proper, working condition. Recently, a new JVC
AM/FM CD radio has been installed. With the exception of a small
chip on the windshield, all of the glass is in good condition. The
bed shows very little signs of wear other than some minor paint
abrasions and other small imperfections on the inside and on the
tailgate. This truck has only seen use as a light hauler. The bed
is covered with a rubber bed mat and there is a full length, bed
cover, both are in very good condition. For towing purposes, a
trailer hitch receiver and pigtails for lights and brakes have been
installed. This truck runs and drives very well. It has been
regularly used and always maintained. Recent service work includes
new rotors and pads for the brakes, a full air conditioning system
servicing with R134 Freon installed and a new idler arm. This truck
starts easily and runs well. The engine does not smoke or overheat
and runs out extremely strong and powerful. The automatic
transmission shifts smoothly, the steering is tight and the brakes
stop the vehicle firmly. All of the options and features function
properly. This 1991 Chevrolet C1500 350SS pickup is extremely clean
inside and out. With the current price of new pickup trucks, this
truck is an affordable alternative that can be driven and enjoyed
for many years to come.
