Vehicle Description
1962 Sunbeam Alpine Convertible. The Sunbeam Alpine is a two-seater
sports drophead coup� produced by Rootes Group from 1953 to 1955,
and then 1959 to 1968. Series II 1960-63: The Series II of 1960
featured an enlarged 1,592 cc (97.1 cu in) engine producing 80 bhp
and revised rear suspension, but there were few other changes. When
it was replaced in 1963, 19,956 had been made. Mechanical This is a
1962 Modified Sunbeam Alpine. The car has a Toyota 20R rebuilt
engine, .030 pistons, complete overhaul, EPN performance camshaft,
custom header, Holley/ Weber carb, 8k miles on rebuild engine. The
transmission is a 5 speed overdrive, hydraulic clutch. All brakes
have been rebuilt, front suspension upgraded to Series 5 rubber
bushings, Koni, front shocks, So Cal rear shocks, 1 wire GM
alternator, Volvo electric fan, great tires. This car is a great
daily driver and I would not hesitate to drive it anywhere!
Exterior The exterior looks very presentable. The car has removable
hardtop that's in great condition, no soft top. Paint is nice
although not perfect, this is not a trailer queen, but a driver
quality car. Body, undercarriage are rock solid, all glass is nice.
Bumpers are very straight and shiny. Interior The interior is very
complete, new seat covers, great dash, clean floor carpet. Please
