This rare Truck is part of the "ADAMS Collection". Real Gearheads
will recognize this familiar yellow Velociraptor from its worldwide
debut on BBC's Top Gear. Affectionately referred to as the
"Top-Gear Raptor", this is the actual truck that carried automotive
antihero Jeremy Clarkson across Canada. There were actually two of
these pickups built for Series 22, Episode 6 of Top Gear: one for
the crew, and this beast, which Jeremy Clarkson piloted through the
frozen wastes of Canada.
The base truck was conceived and built by Ford's Special Vehicle
Team! It was then shipped to Houston based Hennessey Performance
Engineering where a series of extreme performance modifications
were installed to produce the awesome truck you see available
here.
In typical Hennessey Velociraptor style, there's an extensive list
of aesthetic and performance modifications. Under the louvered hood
you'll find a 6.2 liter Boss V8 that now features a 2.9 liter
supercharger that cranks out 623 dyno-proven horses! That is
connected to an unbreakable 6R80 6-speed automatic transmission.
0-60mph in 5.2 seconds and 1/4 mile: 13.6 @ 103 mph.
The suspension is augmented by unique SVT control arms,
Raptor-exclusive leaf springs and Fox Racing internal triple bypass
shocks. It rolls on 17-inch Method MR301 wheels and 315/70 BF
Goodrich All-Terrain T/As.
This truck includes a letter of authentication from John Hennessey
that confirms the truck's use in Top Gear BBC
