Vehicle Description
1966 Ford Mustang Coupe
Nothing says American Muscle like a vintage Mustang. These cars are
icons in the 60s and so popular that they are still one of the most
seen cars on the road today. If you have ever wanted to own one of
these cars but maybe didn't have the dollars it takes to get one,
look no further. This 1966 Mustang is a great opportunity to get
into the classic car hobby without having to break the bank. It is
being offered up at a great price and it isn't every day you get a
chance to own one of these iconic machines for just a little over
10K. If you do find an inexpensive one they are typically rusted
out and require a complete overhaul to even enjoy. This is a case
where you can enjoy this classic as is, slowly rebuild it overtime,
or have a great base for a restoration project. You really have a
ton of options when it comes to this car. It is painted a nice Red
color and there are some chips and rough areas which is a big
reason for the discount in price. That being said there aren't
major rust issues with the body and the chips aren't obvious until
you get up close. The car wears all of its original styling from
the chrome bumpers to the emblems and the chrome bumpers have a
nice shine with no pitting. The glass is all in good condition as
well with no cracks or problems. The original style wheels with
spoke hubcaps are found under all four corners with thin white wall
tires.

Under the hood of this pony is the original 6 cylinder motor that
still runs well. Everything under the hood has a stock appearance.
Backing up the motor is a C4 automatic transmission that shifts
well. It is a nice driving car and starts up with no problems. It
has power steering and air conditioning which are both working and
nice luxury items to have. The brakes are all drums.
The interior is the light beige Parchment and it has been redone
previously. The current owner has replaced the carpet only but
based on the condition of the upholstery and lack of the original
Emberglo coloring it is likely that the seats were recovered at
some point. It doesn't have any tears and looks good. The red dash
pad has been replaced previously as well and doesn't show signs of
sun damage like you see occasionally. The standard gauge package
sits nicely in front of the driver and the gauges work. The AC
system is a nice underdash unit and blows cold. An aftermarket
radio has been installed but does have the vintage look and the
original radio comes with the car should the new owner want to have
it redone. In the trunk you will find a spare tire and the original
plaid style trunk mat. The floors are solid and painted Red like
the rest of the car.
If your in the market for a nice solid unrestored Mustang at a cost
that doesn't break the bank this is a great candidate!
