Vehicle Description
GSX Historic Society documented as #543 of 678, this 1970 Buick GSX
Stage 1 is a Concours Gold Award-winner that underwent a meticulous
frame-off nut-and-bolt rotisserie restoration in 2010. After its
completion it was a showpiece for Sloan Museum in Flint, MI. It has
been well taken care of since. The panels are all original metal
and line up well. The laser-straight body is finished in vibrant
code-correct Saturn Yellow paint with a clear coat for a
mirror-like shine. This GSX is powered by its original GM AX-GS
Stage 1 455ci engine that was completely rebuilt, paired to an
original TH400 automatic transmission. Out back is the original G1
posi-traction 3.42 rear end. All of the L1 Soft Ray tinted glass is
clear. The original bumpers were rechromed. The bottom of the car
is as clean as the top, with all tags intact everywhere they are
supposed to be. The frame has been media-blasted and powder-coated.
The interior features new hand-worked original seats, carpet, L19
Gauges, Rally clock, hood tachometer and X2 Rally steering wheel.
The factory-installed J3 seatbelts and Sonomatic radio with factory
speaker system are correct, as is the dash, and the door panels
have been reworked. It rides on a set of K7 wide oval tires wrapped
around the original G60 15" chrome Rally wheels.
