For Sale at Auction: 1968 Ford Mustang in Las Vegas, Nevada

Vehicle Description

This Bullitt re-creation began its life as a real S-Code GT fastback, which is documented on its Marti Report. The drivetrain is all matching numbers, including the rebuilt original 390ci Hi-Po engine, the 4-speed manual transmission and the 9" rear end. It was also factory-optioned with the GT Equipment Group. Originally Acapulco Blue, it is now beautifully finished in Bullitt-correct Highland Green exterior paint. It has been professionally restored and has just 10 test miles since its completion. The car is factory-fresh from top to bottom, down to the red oxide primer on the underside. This fastback is rock solid, rust-free and bondo-free, and its all-steel body has a great fit. It is equipped with power front disc brakes, power steering, fold-down rear seat, functional hood-mounted turn signals, tachometer and upper console. The interior is in good condition and is factory-correct, from the cosmetics and trim to the correct tachometer red line. This Bullitt example is correct in replicating all of the unique nuances of both Bullitt cars used in the movie. The lower rocker molding, signal light and side marker bezels are painted in the body color, the rear tail panel is blacked out, the rear gas cap is blacked out, the correct Torq Thrust-style rims wear blackwall tires, and the fender and grille emblems have been removed. It has the correct Hurst 4-speed shifter, painted 3-spoke steering wheel with the GT500 center cap, single dual-exhaust tips, and deluxe interior with wood-grain and tachometer, clock and radio. The exterior antenna, dual-exhaust rear valance and passenger side mirror have been removed. The engine compartment is period-correct and highly detailed, right down to the factory decals. This chassis and underside are clean. In addition, it comes with a gorgeous, professionally assembled Bullitt/Steve McQueen movie wall display with many photos, including the chase scene and prop plates. It is completed with an authentic signature of Steve McQueen and a Certificate of Authenticity.
