Vehicle Description
The 2007 Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary package was unveiled at
Ford's SEMA booth in October 2006 and was designed to celebrate the
40thAnniversary of the Shelby GT500 first introduced in 1967 by
Shelby American. The 2007 Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary Edition
also kicked off the new Shelby mod-shop center located at SAI
headquarters in Las Vegas, Nevada as the first post-title build for
SAI. The 40th Anniversary Limited Edition package featured a host
of exterior components including carbon fiber lower front fascia
splitter and mirror covers; aluminum grille inserts for the hood;
20" American Racing Shelby wheels; front & rear brake duct kits;
unique Anniversary stripe package; and various 40th Anniversary
badging throughout. Interior upgrades included a unique Shelby
gauge pod equipped with carbon fiber faced Shelby/Autometer gauges;
40th Anniversary floor mats along with the highly coveted CSM
serial numbered dash, engine & sill plaques. Horsepower enhancement
was available with additional cost supercharger upgrade options.
Final production numbers for the 2007 Shelby GT500 40th Anniversary
Edition ended up at 311 vehicles. Out of those total vehicles
built, 64 were black in color convertibles and out of those 64
black convertibles, 30 of them had a 605hp horsepower upgrade just
like 07XL0137. 07XL0137 is a one owner California vehicle that is
included in the Shelby American Registry. This car has 2,065 actual
miles and is powered by a 5.4-liter supercharged V8 engine and a
