Vehicle Description
Stk 2389 1957 MG A
The iconic MGA was produced from 1955 until 1962. It replaced the
MG TF 1500 and was the predecessor to the MGB. They are quite
simple to run and maintain and these roadsters provide the thrill
of a European sports car - just hold on tight. This classic 1957
MGA has had the same owner/curator for the last 30 years and was
professionally restored in 2008. It has nice paint and chrome. The
replacement 14" MGB wire wheels are true, in good nick and mount
new radials. The top has been replaced and shows very little wear
and the black vinyl interior has been restored to near original
condition. MGs of this era were powered by a 1489cc OHV 4-cylinder
engine with twin SU/H4 carbs that produced 68bhp. This motor was
totally rebuilt (2008) and is backed by a 4-speed manual gearbox.
Front suspension is coil springs, steering is rack and pinion and a
solid rear axle utilizes semi-elliptic springs. Brakes are 4-wheel
manual drum. This classic MGA roadster has been well cared for and
will soon make someone a great summer driver. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS
IS".
