Vehicle Description

1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Custom

ATTENTION CLASSIC MUSTANG ENTHUSIASTS!

You’re looking at a one-of-a-kind 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1 Custom.  In the world of custom Mustangs you don’t see many third generation Mustangs built like this one.  This is a very unique Mustang that is show quality with many upgrades.

As the VIN number indicates this car is an original S-code which was a Mach 1 with a 390 V8 with 320HP and 4-barrell carburetor.

Breakdown of the VIN Number 9F02S218600:

• 9 = 1969

• F = Dearborn, Michigan

• 02 = Fastback

• S = 390 V8 with 320HP 4-barrel

• 218600 = serial number

This car was a complete restoration by well- known “Hot Rod Garage” located in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. There badge has been placed under the front of the hood!

Only 3,283 miles since completion of the restoration.

This car was restored to show but also to drive and enjoy. They did a great job of accomplishing that with everything they did which is listed below!

The exterior body of this car is extremely straight with great gaps throughout.

  There were some body modifications that were done including the following:

* Custom Shelby GT500 hood with hood pins.

* Molded front extension of fenders and headlight buckets.

* Molded rear quarter scoops.

* Molded rear extensions of quarter and end caps.

* Sport mirrors.

* Shaved door handles.

* Custom rear spoiler.

* Fabricated rear quarter Shelby pop up gas cap.

The car was painted a beautiful color combination of Silver and Candy Apple Red Metallic which is divided with a black pin stripe. It flows perfectly with the bodylines.  The paint on this car is ocean deep and show quality.  The hood does have a few air pocket bubbles.  It draws serious attention where ever it goes and you can see why!

Everything on the exterior was restored or replaced the wipers, bumpers, grill, lights, etc.  It has all new tinted glass with brushed stainless steel trim which looks awesome and is easy to maintain.  It also has rear sequential taillights.

The car has a great stance on Boyd Coddington 18” wheels with Nitto Extreme tires that are 225/40/18 on the front and 275/40/18 on the rear.

The tan interior is truly a one-of-a-kind design with many upgrades done by well- known “Cars Upholstery”.  Thousands of dollars was invested to fabricating everything from top to bottom.

 Some of the items done include:

* Suede headliner and custom rear view mirror.

* Sweeping dash with aluminum vents.

* Autometer Ultra-Light carbon fiber gauges.

* Billet Specialties steering wheel.

* Flaming River tilt steering column.

* Power windows.

* Door panels with aluminum handles.

* Electric door openers with transmitters.

* Console with e-brake lever.

* Ultra leather bucket seats with seatbelts.

* Sweeping rear compartment with seats delete.

* Interior lights.

* Custom Kenwood sound system

* Vintage heating and air conditioning system.

* Carpeted red Cobra front floor mats.

The trunk compartment is completely boxed and carpeted.  Behind the main panel is the Kenwood CD player, amplifier and speakers.  Behind the passenger side panel is the battery which has a power cut off knob for storage.  A trickle charge adaptor and terminals under the car were added for charging the battery, etc.

The engine compartment is highly detailed and home to the 351 V8 engine.  The firewall was completely smoothed for a clean look. The inner fenders were also worked for a clean look.  Everything was then painted in the same color red as the exterior and it looks beautiful.  It’s equipped with chrome strut tower and center braces.  The engine was rebuilt during the restoration and the block was painted the same color red as well.  The engine has some upgrades such as a nice cam, Edlebrock intake, Holley carburetor, K&N air filter, chrome Ford Racing valve covers, chrome pulleys, Vintage ac system, MSD ignition system, chrome alternator and power steering cover.  This engine starts, runs and sounds great out the Borla exhaust system.

The engine is cooled by an aluminum radiator with aluminum overfill bottle.  It has two custom radiator show panel covers which match the car and makes everything neat.

The engine is coupled to a Tremec 5-speed transmission with custom shifter.  These transmissions are great for smooth shifting and 5th gear overdrive for the highway.  The power is transferred to a custom Ford 9” rear end that was narrowed to fit. These are extremely strong rear ends.

The undercarriage is very clean and nicely detailed. The undercarriage wasn’t over restored as the car was built to enjoy.  Everything was restored or replaced.  It has some nice upgrades including a complete power braking system with four wheel disc brakes.

MS CLASSIC CARS sold this car a few years ago to a customer locally.  He drove it roughly 1,500 miles.  He decided to sell the car and had it serviced before selling it to us.  An invoice is pictured below that documents the service.  MS CLASSIC CARS also invested $600.00 in detailing the vehicle from top to bottom.  We’ll let the photos do the rest of the talking.
