Over the years this GMC Tow Truck has rescued a lot of Fords and
their owners off the side of the road with its reliable Chevy 235
CID inline six motor. To provide even more reliability this Tow
Truck's engine is tied to 4 speed manual transmission. The crane on
the back of the truck does work and will give you hours of
enjoyment driving around and repossessing you friend's cars. This
1-Ton Wrecker has a stock dually rear end with 4.11 gears with
all-new custom aluminum wheels all around with heavy-duty tires. An
amazing frame-on complete restoration of this truck was carefully
performed including the in-line six-cylinder motor. No rust was
found prior to this vintage tow truck's makeover and all body
panels are original. Topping it off is an absolutely awesome blue
paint job including period-style graphics and precise mix of chrome
and paint on the tow-truck bed with matching paint on the tow arm
and supports. All cabling and controls are operational making this
1-Ton GMC Wrecker as full-functioning as the day it was assembled.
With only 7 miles reported on this eye-catching tow truck since
it's restoration, the only this work it has seen has been to draw
customers into a garage that was converted into an eating
establishment/bar by sitting out front and looking it's best.
