This is the 4th and Last generation of the venerable Pontiac GTO and the last year of production which ceased in 2006. The GTO was the last muscle car Pontiac produced before GM shuttered Pontiac as a brand in 2010. There were 13,948 GTOs produced in 2006 and this car was 1 of 221 produced that last year with its combination of color and equipment. I have not substantiated where in the series of 221 this car was manufactured. The stand-out features of this car are: 1. Only 5431 original miles, 2. Has the air box signed by the original designer of the GTO (Davie North), 3. Has chrome wheel package which was a dealer option, 4. Is an Automatic rather than a manual transmission. The original factory build sheet is included which will show the Red Sport Gauge Package, 18” wheels (subsequently changed for 17” chrome wheels) and Leather interior. Motor is an LS2 with 400 HP/400 ft. Lbs. Torque mated to a 4L60E Automatic Trans. It is fully equipped and the only modification was the addition of a Flowmaster exhaust. It has original owner’s manual, two sets of original keys and is in superb condition.
