Highlights

Being offered is a beautiful 1966 GTO with all the right stuff.  This vehicle was frame-off restored and driven sparingly since.  This is an investment grade GTO, ready for the shows.  Equipped with the car’s original (rebuilt) 389 WS engine code with its Tri Power carbs, original heads and exhaust manifolds, Muncie 4-speed transmission, power top, along with power steering and power brakes.  This is a high end quality GTO restored to very original condition……no resto mod’ing here.  Car won runner up award at GTO National’s.

If you are looking for 60s muscle car to invest your money into (given the originality and condition, color combination, engine/transmission combination, the pure curb appeal and drivability) this is a car you should consider.  High end GTOs are bringing top dollar at the auctions now.

Details

The car is finished in its original Burgundy color (paint code N) in base coat/clear coat.  Paint quality is great; it shines like glass with no swirl marks, rock chips, etc. The quarter panels, doors and fenders are all super straight and panel gaps are good.  Underneath, the frame and undercarriage on this car present very well, clean and tidy.  This 57,000 mile GTO was also equipped with new suspension components, body mounts, springs, shocks, and brakes.  A new gas tank was also installed as well.

Some of the options that make this GTO a standout include:

WS code Hi Performance tri power original engine

4 speed Muncie with safety track (posi) rear end

Power top, steering and brakes

Rally instrument cluster with factory tachometer

Wood sport steering wheel

Remote control driver side mirror

Original Pontiac AM/FM radio (sounds good)

Factory center console

Rally wheels with red line tires

The vehicle has new convertible top, weather stripping, window fuzzies and gaskets.  The car’s stance looks right and has those classic lines of a 60’s muscle car.  The bumpers and emblems, window moldings, etc are all new or buffed.  The exterior needs nothing.  This car turns heads every where it goes and will provide years of pride in ownership you can only find in cars of this quality appearance.  Trunk is detailed with spare tire and factory bumper jack.

Interior was all restored as well; console, instrument cluster, carpets, door panels, console, seat covers, everything.  All the gauges work, no need for those aftermarket ones mounted under the dash.  The 4 speed shifter is Hurst and provides a very solid shift. The optional wood shifter ball was retained and is original to the car.  It still has its original rebuilt and working Pontiac AM/FM radio and wood sports steering wheel.

Drive line consists of the original Hi performance WS 389 engine that has been rebuilt along with its Muncie 4 speed transmission, new clutch, and its safety track rear end.  This WS engine code retains its original 093 heads, and exhaust manifolds.  The three Rochester carburetors are rebuilt and correct.  It retains its original Harrison radiator.  A new starter, new water pump, PS pump, power brake booster and master cylinder, new distributer, alternator, new battery, belts, hoses, etc, etc, all complete this highly detailed engine bay.

This vehicle is a pleasure to drive.  It steers straight and under hard braking stays straight.  The alignment is good.  It is fast….an adrenaline machine. It has just been serviced and is ready to enjoy.  High quality muscle car values continue to increase.  You are welcome and encouraged to conduct a pre-purchase inspection of the vehicle.  It is being sold in “AS IS” condition, with no warranties expressed or implied and subject to 7% Indiana sales tax.  Check with your DMV for details.  Call 765-994-9972 to ask any question.
