Vehicle Description
This post-war Lincoln Convertible features a V-12 engine drive
through an overdrive 3-speed transmission giving it performance
that will comfortably keep up with today's freeway traffic. It is
comprehensively equipped, including pushbutton radio, heater,
clock, rear fender skirts with chrome embellishments, hubcaps, trim
rings and power windows. The restoration evidences very high
quality workmanship and materials throughout, especially in the
exceptionally crisp and sharp grille and trim chrome work and the
precise fit and function of the pushbutton-operated doors. The
chassis, drivetrain and engine are like new. The 1948 Lincolns were
succeeded very early in 1948 by the completely re-designed 1949
Lincolns and Cosmopolitans. Only 6,470 1948 Lincolns were built,
with the convertible being the most rare body style.
