The amazing combination of the Ford Mustang and the legend of
Carroll Shelby lives on in this Shelby signed 2008 Shelby version
of the Mustang. That's Shelby's signature on the passenger side
windshield pillar.
This convertible in Torch Red is loaded with brute power and
cockpit comfort. A Shelby premium trim package and a Shelby rear
deck spoiler set this GT500 off from an everyday Mustang. The
driver's seat is six way powered and includes an optional Shelby
interior package. The sport bucket seats are embossed with the
famous Cobra logo. The premium convertible top is in black
cloth.
The supercharged 5.4-liter 32valve V8 engine delivers a staggering
500 horsepower. The engine features special components including a
forged steel crankshaft, forged aluminum pistons and aluminum
heads. The manual transmission is a stout Tremec 6-speed that
shifts flawlessly. In keeping with all this power the GT500
features a special handling package with SVT tuned suspension,
large Brembo brakes and high performance tires.
