1953 is a hallmark year for Cadillac. It was a peak for Cadillacs
styling and glamour. Many collectors and enthusiast believe 1953
models were the most beautiful of the 50s Cadillacs. This 1953
Series 62 captures the glamour, Style, and quality of Cadillac.
Having been restored over 15 years ago, this example has held up
beautifully. Painted in exquisite Pastoral Blue, It has a light and
dark blue leather interior, and is complemented with the dark blue
convertible top.
This car was restored to the highest level and in its original
colors. The paint on this car is absolutely magnificent and is free
from any flaws. All of the chrome is stunning. It does not show any
age whatsoever. The chrome is absolutely magnificent and is one of
the key styling features of this beautiful car. All of the trim on
the exterior is beautiful and fits exactly as it should. It is
clearly evident that no expense was spared in this cars
restoration. The convertible top is new and shows hardly any wear.
As expected, the wheel covers are in the same condition as the rest
of the car and it sits on the correct period white wall tires.
The engine bay in the car is show quality and shows tremendous
attention to detail. The engine and its compartment are as
impressive as the exterior of the car.
Inside, the leather sheets show typical patina from any car that
was driven, well cared for, and loved. As expected, there are no
rips and tears just normal usage on the leather.
This Cadillac is a fantastic driver. Upon one twist of the key the
massive V8 comes to life and is so smooth, you could barely feel or
hear it running. In driving the car it makes smooth power and you
barely feel the transmission shift. Its an absolute pleasure to
take on an evening or Sunday cruise.
As with all of our cars, this Cadillac received a thorough
inspection and service before we put it for sale. In getting the
car ready for sale we performed:
Oil and filter change
Flush and refill hydraulics for power windows and power steering
system
Adjust right front and rear windows
Perform wheel alignment
Repair exhaust system
Torque all oil pan bolts, front cover bolts, valve cover bolts
Replace flasher unit repair wiring to front indicators
Repair right front headlight bezel
Adjust drivers door handle
Change brake fluid
This Cadillac is now ready to be driven and enjoyed. We have been
driving it and thoroughly enjoy every outing in it. The new owner
of this Cadillac will be proud of it anywhere it goes.
