Vehicle Description
Welcome to StreetDreamsTexas as we conclude our 19th year in the
classic and muscle car business. Chevrolet's name for the Z/28
Camaro started out as only a Regular Production Order (RPO) option
code but has since grown into one of the most recognizable names in
the Camaro's history. Introduced in 1967 as a homologation ringer
for the SCCA's Trans-Am sedan series, word quickly spread about how
good these cars were, even on the street. Then the floodgates
opened when the juggernaut of the Penske/Donohue Camaros won the
Trans-Am championships in 1968 and 1969. Today, Camaro Z/28's are
among the most sought after and collected muscle cars, particularly
the race-bred first generation cars (1967-1969). Our gorgeous 1969
Rallye Green (79 79) Z/28 (X33) is a prime example of why these
cars are so desirable. This beauty retains its classic appearance
with the correct paint and interior (727) codes while benefitting
from some tasteful mechanical upgrades. Waiting beneath the Special
Ducted Hood (ZL2) is a correct (BCN 3970010) 302 that inhales
through an Edelbrock Streetmaster aluminum intake manifold and a
Holley carburetor and exhales via the great sounding Dual Chambered
Exhaust (NC8). The power is routed through a Tremec 6-speed manual
transmission stirred by a stock-appearing Hurst shifter, then back
to a stout 12 bolt rear end. Power steering (N40) and power front
wheel disc brakes (J52) allow nearly effortless cruising, while the
Special Instruments package (U17) provides all the information a
driver needs. The well-detailed chassis sports numerous components
from Hotchkis Sport Suspensions including a must-have for serious
drivers; sub frame connectors. These provide a rigid foundation for
the suspension and vastly improve the handling characteristics.
This is a beautiful, entertaining, and valuable classic that might
make your friends green with envy. But it won't be as attractive as
this Rallye Green stunner! Street Dreams is a full service
dealership that can assist with worldwide delivery, insurance, and
financing options.
