Vehicle Description
EXTERIOR: Older paint, actually a good portion is claimed to be
original. From 5 feet it looks presentable, up close it shows it's
age. Body fits nice. The chrome and trim is mostly orginal but
presentable. Headlight bezels and front bumper gaurds are new.
Black convertible top was replaced, new weatherstips on the top
frame. Has polished Torque Thrust wheels and original hubcaps are
included.
INTERIOR: It's actually exceptionally nice inside. The seats have
new cushions and upholstery. The door panels have been completely
replaced including the chrome trim and armrests. The dash pad is
replaced and it fits really well. Carpets are replaced and has
carpeted floormats. The original gauges are working, has excellent
oil pressure. Interior light, heater blower works. Has an upgraded
stereo that fits in the original hole.
TRUNK COMPARTMENT: Has the spare and red rubber mat. There is also
a bunch of extra parts. Some new, some originals from the car.
Included is a set of four spinner hubcaps and the original steering
parts.
ENGINE COMPARTMENT: The motor compartment is very orderly, clean
and proper. Has the ignition shielding, fan shroud, stock exhaust
manifolds etc. 20 years ago the motor was upgraded from a 283 to a
rebuilt 327. Recently over $4,200 was spent making the motor run
perfectly. The intake was powder coated.
UNDERSIDE: A huge upgrade is the conversion to power rack and
pinion steering. Power steering was not available until 1963,
rarely have I seen one with the upgrade. Boy it makes driving it
much easier. The car underneath is very respectable. The floors are
clean original fiberglass, no signs of damage. Frame is rock solid.
Still has original axle straps. New leaf springs in back. New
shocks. New dual exhaust.
I think it's a great car. Not a show winner but a good car with
patina. Great paperwork trail going back 25 years. The same owner
has had the car about 20 years. Drive it!
