Vehicle Description
1955 Buick Century Estate Wagon somewhat rare 'Beater Ride' When
was the last time you saw one of these wagons in very good
condition. Not many were made! This project 1955 Buick Century
'4-Port' Estate Wagon originally from Bakersfield, California. Has
the 'Nailhead' V8 with 4barrel Carter carb and automatic
transmission complete running and all stock Buick. Color was
originally from the factory 'Dover White' on the top and lower
portion of the body and 'Condor Yellow' in the middle of the body.
Interior is currently red/black, probably not stock colors. Car
currently runs, drives and stops, but needs a little TLC to get it
as a good driver or restore. Should be trailered, but can be driven
on trailer or car hauler. The good stuff: This Buick wagon is
pretty much complete with all trim and glass intact (drivers rear
window has some age cracking) Comes with shop manual. 4-good white
wall tires. New radiator coolant and hoses. New complete
transmission rebuild kit with front & rear bands. Comes with trans
rebuild book. Transmission currently leaks fluid, but can be driven
for short distances. This car has been sitting for awhile so brakes
are a little sponge, but they work. Stuff that requires some TLC:
Has a few small rust through areas (approximately 6) in the drivers
floor, one small area near rear passengers seat, front passengers
door bottom and inside rear tailgate bottom (refer to pics). Rear
lift gate is missing latch Has radio, cigarette lighter (not sure
if they work) Windshield wipers, windshield washer and heater fan
don't work and need TLC Seat plastic trim pieces and inside center
post trim pieces need to be installed. Rear seat bottom needs
mounting so 'fold down' works properly. Will probably need new
shocks. -Vehicle is on consignment and at our clients home -Please
