The dream Mark VI for the Bentley collector or enthusiast

The 1951 Bentley Mark VI “Light Weight” Sports Saloon by H.J. Mulliner featured here is finished in stunning Mason’s Black over a Saddle Connolly leather interior. This incredible aluminum bodied, coach built Bentley was originally built for WWII Captain R.G. McLeod. McLeod was a well-known Bentley owner, having previously served his country as the Supervising Engineer of tools and aircraft production during the war effort. An engineer by trade, it was not uncommon for McLeod to bring his own notes directly to the coachbuilder and he specified that H.J. Mulliner include the rarely seen “High Vision” glass roof panel over the front seats and considerably shortened the boot on his new 4½ Litre Mark VI “Light Weight” Saloon. This Bentley was imported to the U.S. in 1976 and was subjected to a thorough restoration in the 1980’s. Since then, excellent mechanical and cosmetic care has been applied as needed to maintain this exceptional motorcar. Having previously been part of several private collections, this one-off Mark VI Sports Saloon would make a welcome addition to any collection and would be a perfect candidate for a vintage rally or tour. An incredible array of documentation accompanies this custom coach built Bentley including its owner’s manual, service directory, registration book, the original instructions from H.J. Mulliner and more. We are extremely proud to offer this incredibly rare 1951 Bentley Mark VI “Light Weight” Sports Saloon to the most particular collector or investor who appreciates the legacy of the Bentley marque in addition to fine one-off coachwork.
