Under the L88 "Big Block" hood of this beautiful sunflower yellow
1971 Chevrolet Corvette rests a massive LS6 454 cubic inch V8
engine! The 454 was the largest production engine that Chevrolet
ever put into a corvette. These power houses produced massive toque
numbers all the way through rpm range and makes for a thrill of a
driving experience. With ratings of 450 hp at 5600 rpm and 500 lb
ft at 3600 rpm of torque, it has been suggested that the LS6 was
substantially underrated from the factory. Which was somewhat
common practice by the American car makers, and that the engine
actually produced well over 500 horsepower as delivered from the
factory. Sending all of that power to the 3.73 rear end is an M-22
Muncie four-speed manual transmission that shifts firmly through
the gears. The powertrain in this Corvette is very strong and
performs great. This car is just itching to get on some windy
roads. Moving inward, the interior is finished in black and has a
very enclosed and low to the ground feel that provides the driver
with an interesting perspective like that of a racecar. The seats
are in great condition and very comfortable. The driver as well as
passenger will appreciate the removable factory T-tops to allow
plenty of sunshine in on warmer days. On colder days, the driver
will enjoy the heat. Supporting each corner of this sweet ride are
the correct rally wheels wrapped in rubber with good life left.
Overall, the exterior of this beauty is in a very good driver
condition. Included with the sale of this car is a set of receipts
as well as the protecto plate. You can view this 1971 Chevrolet
