Vehicle Description
1931 Ford Model A Hot Rod Coupe. All steel body, powered by a
camaro 327 with 2.02 heads, Borg Warner 5 speed trans with
hydraulic clutch, and a 3.73 10 bolt rear end. The frame is a
Model A chassis that has been modified and boxed. It has a custom
fabricated k member. Rear suspension is a braced hair pin set up
with qa1 coilovers. Front is a superbell axle with split wishbones,
reverse corvair steering box, and disc brakes. It has a
reproduction deuce grille, and a stock model a hood. All the glass
is new tempered green tint. The body has had a few mods including a
custom made firewall, trans tunnel, and floor pans. The interior
is a brown and green plaid with black pleated door panels. All but
a couple pieces of the wood structure have been replaced. Some
original pieces were in good enough shape to just refinish. This
car has been driven quite a bit since it's build in June of 2015.
I've driven it about 15,000 miles in that time. This car is
extremely reliable with the warmed over 327. It has a Mallory dual
point dizzy, edelbrock intake and Holley carb, a mechanical fuel
pump, and 14 gallon fuel cell behind the rear axle. It gets about
20mpg. It has an aluminum 3 row radiator and mechanical fan with a
shroud. It does not overheat, at all. I've done many hot August
nights cruises and a ton of sitting in traffic on the freeway
during commute hours and never had an issue. The hand-lettering on
the door is of a fictional shop and can be removed before purchase
if desired.
