1979 Lincoln Continental Town Car POSITIVES ABOUT THE CAR: 1. It's
lowered 2. Has two-tone paint job 3. 20 inch Mag. wheels 4.
Installed better speakers and an upgraded sound system that can
play CD'd, Radio, USB hookup, ect. (The original radio is intact
and does work but it is not hooked up to the speakers). 5. Vinyl
top removed. (This is the only Lincoln that have ever seen without
a vinyl top. The guy who owned it before said that he and his
friend spent 60 man hours removing the vinyl top and sanding /
painting the rough metal underneath). 6. It only has 52,000
original miles and the engine is very good condition. 7. Trunk is
in excelling condition 8. V8, 400 ci engine 9. virtually no rust
10. Just installed a new horn pad 11. Just had the AC Serviced
NEGATIVES ABOUT THE CAR: 1. The car does need the interior
upholstery re-done 2. The Cartier dash clock does not work and
would cost about $100 to refurbish it. 3. There is no passenger
side view (This car was 1 of a fleet of 10 Lincoln Continentals
that a sales company, based in Phoenix, bought directly from
Lincoln and in order to cut down on the costs, they told Lincoln
not to put on a passenger side view mirror) LIST OF REPAIRS: 1.
Rebuilt Carburetor (Oct. 2014) / 2. Replaced power steering hose
and both pressure hoses and R & R return hose (March 2015) / 3.
Brake Fluid Flush and replace wiper blades and oil change (May
2015) / 4. Paint touch up work (June 2015) / 5. Replace fuel line
from filter to carburetor (Sept. 2015) / 6. Replace fuel pump
(March 2016) / 7. New Horn Pad (May 2016) / 8. Fuel tank cleanout
and new fuel strainer (July 2016) / 9. New ignition module (July
2016) / 10. Carburetor adjustments & general tune up (July 2016) /
