Vehicle Description
1970 MG MGB Convertible. This is a great little sports car, well
cared for considering age. Turns heads everywhere and you can
always find a parking place. owned it for years but drove it very
little. drove it last summer two or three times. It certainly runs
but has issues. 1st- backfiring. could be as simple as a fuel
filter or timing adjustment, happens more during acceleration so a
lean fuel condition. 2nd- starts right up when cold but has vapor
lock(?) after being shut off so you have to wait ~30 minutes for
that to clear before starting it again. Could be a simple fix such
as a heat shield that might be in the four boxes of parts, all
included. All gears work, no slipping, clutch is solid. The metal
is all solid, no rust, always been garaged in winters, never driven
in bad weather. No rips in soft top. After market stereo. seats and
interior are original, no rips. 60 spoke wire wheels. Lots of extra
parts. Can be driven away with clear title. Comes with four boxes
of spare parts- new and used. The soft top is in great condition.
Actual mileage unknown. speedometer/odometer are not working so
actual mileage is unknown. Tach is working The turn signal is
fussy. Electrical is all operational: ignition, radio, lights,
wipers etc. Lights, alternator, starter all ok tiny tiny rust spots
around wheel wells Not an overdrive transmission repainted by
previous owner, amateur, blemishes, discolorations, thin in spots,
but looks good at 20+mph, Interior is original black, Steering
good, suspension good Exhaust as far as I know is factory and no
excessive noises. brakes pull to the right interior carpeting all
good clean title Owned it 20 years, give or take. It really was a
'Sunday driver', nice weather only, have put at most a couple
thousand on it, no accidents, no body work done, no restorations,
just tinkering.
